While it is the leadership’s prerogative to share or withhold information, employees with limited clarity on resilience solutions are unlikely to make inputs and support related initiatives
Leaders could test a working view that employees below executive level have untapped wisdom and knowledge about resilience intricacies, potentially beyond it is normally assumed. Consider involving them directly in developing solutions. The approach could be through reviewing current engagement systems and organization’s operating model. The reviewed system would need to be owned by leadership at all levels….a leadership prepared to mutually unlearn and learn with employees.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, employee engagement has been successful for some organizations. Future virtual workplaces could distance employees from the leadership. This calls for considerable ingenuity to avoid losing strategic employee engagement and involvement
